Your AI dev spend,
ready to bill.

You spend $80–300/month on Claude Code, API keys and AI subscriptions. devspend tells you exactly which project and client it went to — and turns it into invoice line items.

No spam. Launch news + a free "AI costs you can bill" cheat sheet.
The freelance AI gap: agencies bill hours and licenses, but AI costs hide in your terminal.

📊 Multi-source ledger

Claude Code local logs today; OpenRouter / OpenAI / Anthropic API usage and subscriptions in Phase 1. One number, every source.

🏷️ Tagged by project & client

Rules map repo paths to clients. Every dollar lands where it belongs.

🧾 Invoice-ready exports

CSV/PDF line items per client. AI costs become recoverable costs, not silent margin erosion. (Pro)

🔒 100% local

No cloud, no telemetry, no accounts. Your billing data never leaves your machine.

FAQ

Does my data leave my machine?

No. devspend reads local files and computes everything locally. No cloud, no telemetry, no accounts.

How accurate are the costs?

Token costs are list-price estimates including cache pricing, overridable at ~/.devspend/prices.json. Calibrate before invoicing — subscription plans (Claude Max, Cursor) don't pay per-token rates.

Is this just another ccusage?

ccusage is a great free CLI for Claude Code stats. devspend starts there but is built for billing: project/client attribution and invoice-ready exports. Both can coexist.

When can I bill clients with it?

Project attribution works today. Client entities, invoice-grade exports and budget alerts are Phase 2 (Pro, one-time license). Join the waitlist to get early access.
